Northampton Saints have secured their spot in the top four of the Premiership Rugby table after a h…
Northampton Saints have effectively sealed their place in the Premiership Rugby semi-finals with a 24-15 victory over Saracens at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. The win sees them open up a six-point lead at the top of the table. The match got off to a dramatic start, with Northampton's Archie McParland scoring two tries, including the decisive one in the 78th minute. Saracens, under the guidance of departing coach Mark McCall, fought back from 14-0 down but ultimately fell short.Tobias Elliott impressed for Saracens, scoring a try and showcasing his skill with some impressive runs. However, it was not enough to secure the win for his team. Charlie Bracken also made a notable appearance, displaying his passing skills inherited from his father, Kyran Bracken. The result means Northampton are well on their way to securing a home semi-final, while Saracens' hopes of making the playoffs are now extremely slim. The focus for Saracens now shifts to their European campaign, as they prepare to face Bath in the last 16.Despite the outcome, McCall was optimistic about his team's performance, stating, “It’s absolutely gutting to lose, but I’m not gutted about the way we lost. We fought back magnificently.”

Everton Considers Legal Action Against Premier League Over Chelsea Sanctions

Everton is exploring legal options against the Premier League for not imposing sporting sanctions o…
Everton is considering a legal challenge against the Premier League for their handling of Chelsea's undisclosed payments sanction. The club feels aggrieved as they were docked eight points during the 2023-24 season for profit and sustainability regulations breaches, whereas Chelsea did not face sporting sanctions.Chelsea were fined £10.75m and given a suspended transfer ban by the Premier League last week after reporting £47.5m of hidden payments to agents and players made over a seven-year period. This punishment has been regarded as lenient by other top-flight clubs.Everton and Nottingham Forest are unhappy with the Chelsea sanction and are taking legal advice. They claim the Premier League has been inconsistent in applying its own rulebook. Everton could still receive a further punishment as a result of their PSR breaches. The Premier League is believed to have explained Chelsea's punishment on the grounds that they felt they would have been unable to secure a conviction without their co-operation, so negotiated from the outset. Chelsea's current ownership of Clearlake Capital and Todd Boehly reported the offences, which they discovered during the negotiations to buy the club from Roman Abramovich four years ago.

Underland Film Review: A Poetic Dive into Earth's Hidden Spaces

The documentary film Underland, based on Robert Macfarlane's book, explores the Earth's underground…
Rob Petit's documentary Underland, inspired by Robert Macfarlane's bestselling book, delves into the mysterious world beneath the Earth's surface. The film features Mexican archaeologist Fátima Tec Pool exploring cenotes on the Yucatan peninsula, theoretical physicist Mariangela Lisanti studying dark matter in an ultra-clean facility in Canada, and urban explorer Bradley Garrett navigating storm-drain tunnels in Las Vegas. The documentary intertwines these experiences with Sandra Hüller reading poetic prose about the 'nether' in a faintly Americanised accent. While the film raises intriguing ideas, it sometimes struggles to reconcile natural underground spaces with human-made ones. The most striking scenes showcase Lisanti's work searching for dark matter, highlighting the vastness of deep time and the potentially fruitless pursuit of scientific discovery. The film is set to release in UK and Irish cinemas on 27 March, offering viewers a chance to explore the hidden world beneath their feet.
